What we check
Website Scanners is a free, passive check run by Web Designer Limited, registered in England and Wales, company no. 15002899. Registered office: 119a Flat 2 Uxbridge Road, London W7 3ST. ICO registration ZC283618. Contact: [email protected].
What the scan looks at
On the page you enter, and on public domain records, we check:
- Security certificate (HTTPS) and whether http:// redirects to https://
- Security headers: HSTS, Content Security Policy, X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy
- Mixed content on the page
- Redirect chain (capped hops)
- On-page search basics: title, meta description, canonical, robots, sitemap
- Accessibility HTML signals: page language and image alt text
- Broken links on that page only (same host, up to 20 links)
- Email authentication DNS: SPF, DMARC, and common DKIM selectors
- Cookie flags and obvious tracker script hosts on the page
What we don't do
- We don't scan ports, try exploits, test passwords or attempt to log in
- We don't fill in forms, guess hidden pages or crawl your whole site
- We don't claim malware clearance, scam verdicts or that a site is "safe"
- We don't run a WCAG accessibility audit or a full SEO audit
- This is not a penetration test or a security audit
Privacy defaults
We don't store the addresses you check or your results. Rate-limit counts use hashed identifiers and are kept for up to 1 hour. We use cookie-free Cloudflare Web Analytics. See the Privacy notice.
